Privacy Policy

This policy explains how DrinkMate ("we", "us") handles your personal data when you use our apps and website.

Effective July 5, 2026
Who we are
DrinkMate is operated by Solutionist. We provide a cocktail recipe app and related web services. By using DrinkMate, you agree to this Privacy Policy. Our Terms & Conditions also apply.
Account and content
We collect minimal data necessary to operate the service: your Apple ID authentication token, uploaded content, favorites, cabinet selections, and anonymous usage analytics (e.g. cocktail views, search queries, feature usage). We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Purpose
We use your data to operate DrinkMate — authenticate you, store your content and preferences, and deliver the features you use. We also use aggregate and anonymous data to understand whether the product is working and where we can improve the experience.
Anonymous analytics
DrinkMate collects anonymized analytics — such as which cocktails are viewed most or how often features are used — to improve the app. An anonymous analytics ID is generated locally on your device and is not linked to your Apple ID or personal identity.
Voluntary participation
We may ask you to complete a voluntary demographic survey (age range, gender, country). This data is stored anonymously and used solely for aggregate product insights. You can skip or decline the survey at any time.
No selling of data
We do not sell your personal data. We use infrastructure providers (such as hosting and cloud storage) to run the service; they process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements and only as needed to deliver DrinkMate.
Data storage
Your data is stored securely on our servers. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by GDPR.

8. Your rights

Your data rights (all users)
Every DrinkMate user — not only residents of the EU/EEA — may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of personal data you have contributed, such as account data, favorites, cabinet selections, and optional survey responses. If you are in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing as required by GDPR. You can delete your account in the DrinkMate app (Settings → Account → Delete my account) or by emailing support@drinkmate.app. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
Photos you upload
You can delete photos you have uploaded yourself at any time. When deleted, they are removed from DrinkMate and are no longer associated with your account.
Recipes you contribute
Cocktail recipes are factual reference data, not personal information. If you delete a recipe you published, DrinkMate removes the link between you and that recipe — including your name, story, and other personal fields. The recipe may remain in the catalog so users who have saved, rated, or commented on it can still access it.
Ingredients you contribute
Custom ingredients are factual catalog entries. If you remove an ingredient you added, DrinkMate removes your association with it. The ingredient record may remain in the database because other users' recipes may depend on it; deleting the record would break those relationships.
Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of DrinkMate after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
